PVP Mode

PVP uses the core rules as its foundation. This page covers only what is different from the core.


Teams & Structure

PVP supports free-for-all or team-based play. Teams may be predefined or formed dynamically. Social alliances are allowed but are not mechanically enforced.


Targeting

  • Players may damage enemy Players
  • Players may damage enemy PPCs
  • Friendly fire is determined by team alignment

Victory Conditions

PVP matches may end by:

  • Last Player standing
  • Last team standing
  • Objective-based victory (e.g. control zones, recruit Monsters)

Player Death in PVP

PVP uses the same Downed → Revive → Dead rules as Co-op by default:

  • 0 HP = Downed
  • no round timer — but each turn Downed costs you an equipped card
  • Revive requires adjacency and an Action — returns Downed Player to 5 HP
  • Failure to Revive = Dead

Cutthroat Variant (Optional)

Groups may choose a more aggressive ruleset:

  • 0 HP = Dead immediately
  • No Revive
  • Recommended for experienced or highly competitive groups only
